I AM NOT A MISANDRIST. EVERY FEMINIST IS NOT A MISANDRIST.

To all the people who have accused me of hating men, I want to clear some facts before I move further.

• I don't appreciate the Dimapur incident. I know the man was just "alleged" to have raped a girl, and not sentenced "guilty".
• I understand you completely when you say you don't stare girls like that, sometimes you stare maybe because of their stupidity.
• I don't think a man traveling by a public transport has to offer his seat everytime a woman enters. He equally deserves that seat and is not disrespectful if he doesn't want to stand up everytime.
• I don't believe the BBC documentary showcased the mentality of each one of you. Many of you were amongst the protestors, equally terrified and worried about where the society is heading to.
• There are many cases I've heard of and know about where women falsely allege men just out of rivalry or for money. These men are the victims of the general and very natural bias that civilians have towards girls. I understand their pain and sufferings just like you do.

But I have a few points I'd like you to know. Just because I call myself a feminist doesn't mean I'm against all the men and fighting against them. I will speak up where the society's men are wrong. There are a few things that you'll never understand being a man that we girls go through each day. These things range from bigger issues of life to very small and generally unnoticed ones.

Some of you are spreading your anti-feminist agendas all over the internet. You say that feminism does not stand for equality, but stands for *special* rights to women. I think there's a better term "Misandrist" for that. You should not just hate us because we demand change of mindsets.

I agree, more or less, majority of you do not rape/eve tease/hate/disrespect/dominate the women in your lives. And trust me, nobody is even claiming that the whole lot of you are. This anger we hold inside ourselves is just supposed to outburst when we can no longer hold it in, and this is exactly what happened when #IndiasDaughter got leaked. The I&B Ministry's ban made things worse.

If we condemn those culprits', lawyers', politicians' statements about us, we DO appreciate your support. Yes we DO. What we'd appreciate more would be, you supporting us in forcing a change of mindsets. Calling us "rotten feminists" and abusing us is just not the right thing to do right now. It's just like distracting the major focus where it should be right now. We cannot ignore the fact that we still have to move a lot ahead in giving the women of this world the respect they deserve.

We do understand your problems as well, and would support you in these issues just like you have always supported us. Spreading anti-feminist propaganda is a needless controversy. Trust me, if we work together and do not spread this hate, we can achieve a lot. We need you to stand with us against those lecherous creeps. We cannot let women suffer like they've been suffering now for ages.
